Family Latino Outreach and Addictions Treatment
Central City Concern, in partnership with Catholic Charities’ El Programa Hispano, developed the Family Latino Outreach & Addictions Treatment program (FLOAT) to support Latinos in recovery. FLOAT uses a multi-disciplinary approach to wrap services around the entire family, providing alcohol and drug treatment and mental health care in a way that avoids stigma and fear. Clients receive primary health care, a mentor for the person in recovery and another for the family, intensive case management, supportive housing, rent assistance and continuing care when treatment is finished. FLOAT also assists single persons.
